A rough game where the early injuries against the orcs ended up deciding a game that was *much* closer than the final score. The Corsairs took the opening kickoff and first turn of blocking Baak the black orc was niggled and apoth failed to save him. The humans pushed the ball downfield and but a pass was intercepted and the orcs came back - but the guard of the humans allowed for a block to knock the ball free - and a scrum followed for the rest of the half. On T8, Ar-Norg, the human catcher broke free and with no RRs made the 2 gfi to score. Up 1-0 and now 11 on 9, the orcs received the ball (their thrower had been badly hurt near the close of the first half). The goblin Viurk had already killed a catcher with a block (apoth worked), then he kicked a downed lineman, but did nothing on the kick. However a return foul from Hurin was devastating and kill the only skilled black orc (Brorug). A turnover and then a quick score and it was 2-0. With a considerable advantage in numbers, the humans did not stall, but instead kicked off and the orcs could not pick up the ball (no RRs, no sure hands)...the fast humans grabbed it and scored - then kicked off and did the same thing again for 2 quick end of the game scores.
Overall - a fun game - if a bit bloody for the orcs.”
“One BoB was missing due to failed apo roll in first game, and now in second game apo failed on first turn again. Why am I paying to that guy?
Almost managed to deny Humans from scoring in the 1st half, but not quite. And one the 2nd half, when Orcs are 2 players short, only 2 BoB's, and opponent has 2 Guards, it's just hard.
Overal luck was ok, but I failed some important rolls few times. When the game was over, my Blocking suddenly became effective as I rolled pow's all the time. Too late for me though.
But at least something good about this game. My Troll got +ST, at least he is not giving up in this league. :)
Was a good game until Humans scored 2nd TD, as game was almost over then. Bad weather conditions, and Thrower was injured. Not much to play ball.
Will not be easy for my Orcs in future, remaining opponents in order are: Ogre, Norse, Orcs, Gobbos.”
