Winning the toss, the girls elected to receive first. Unfortunately, despite kicking the ball straight to Hed Splitta (who caught it), Fool's Tools somehow managed to orchestrate a perfect defence, catching the orks a little off guard. They'd also hired Horkon, who proved to be a very effective player (despite having *very* bad luck with attempts on the ball carrier).
Seeking that Old Gaffer had gotten complacent, and positioned himself a little too close to the sidelines, Skull Krusha made good use of her new-found agression, sending him into the crowd, while the rest of the team made a pretense of securing the ball.
Horkon retailiated by poisoning Head Stompa (KO), and a short time later, injuring Loony Tossa. He also made two or 3 attempts to stab Hed Splitta (ball carrier), usually involving a leap to get there, but was unsuccessful. Finally, seeing an opportunity to be rid of the menace, we eventually managed to send him into the crowd while advancing slowly up the sidelines, eventually managing to score in turn 8.
Half time score: 1-0
With three key players off the field, with a good 200 SPP between them, we had only 9 players to field for the second half, and with Horkon back on the field, things were looking grim. Fortunately, he left himself exposed, and a good boot to the head saw him off to the KO box before he did any more damage. Unfortunately, our focus on Horkon left us in a pretty poor defensive position, and it looked likely that the elves would score ...
Unfortunately for them, the pouring rain got the better of their ball handling skills, and despite several opportunities to attempt a touchdown, we were eventually able to get enough players on the ball to prevent a touchdown, and so, the whistle blew for full time, and the match ended with just the one touchdown scored.
Final score: 1-0

3 pts - #10 Gumbi
Gumbi's combination of skills is horrible to say the least. He was always in the way, and mighty hard to get out of the way. Pain in the arse all match.
2 pts - #6 Horkon Heartripper
For being scary more than anything. He disposed of two key players early in the match, and if things had gone his way, would have sacked the ball carrier in no time. I was well and truly glad to remove him from the pitch (both times), and will never again underestimate this vicious star.
1 pt - #12 Dancing Morgion
In position to score for the pretty much the entire second half, all he needed was for one of the other tools to get him the ball. Although it never happened, he was a threat I could do little about, and played his part perfectly.”
#13 Old Gaffer – Broken Ribs (MNG) #13 Old Gaffer – Smashed Knee (NI)
“This was a rough loss for me. I played well enough to have a decent chance to win, and the dice handed me a loss. C'est la vie. Laviak played well as he always does and made it a challenging game. Always a pleasure.
3 pts - Knee Snapper - I hate this dirty bitch
2 pts - Elbow Kikka - A pass and a cas, not bad work at all
1 pt - Hed Splitta - the game winner.”
