“What a big game, the fans were excited and the competition didn't disappoint. The Collision were happy that two of the Ancients most mobile players were out, The werewolf Ripper, and the ghoul gizzards. This left the Ancients at a disadvantage as the Collision were able to field all four ghouls, and Col Ission the Wight.
The Ancients won the toss and somewhat surprisingly decided to receive first. There was a flurry of blocking which sent the Ancients line realing. The losses didn't effect the Ancients too much who were able to blitz down the side, and a short pass by Dark Vengeance fell into the hands of Dark Blackheart who had managed to evade his tacklers and was waiting in the TD zone. 1-0 but a lot of time still to play in the half. The good news every CAS inflicted was regen'd by the Ancients they would start the next drive at full strength.
The Undead faced off against the Necro with thoughts of more blood and dismemberment in their minds. Bodies were being broken and destroyed as the Collision pressed forward, ghouls ran down both wings in an attempt to confuse or at least break up the ambling necro defense. It worked. Fat Al was able to press through the middle and despite fumbling a short pass to the waiting crash test he was able to pickup the ball after Crash cleared away Blackheart. Al strolled in for the score right on the buzzer.
1-1 at the half but good news for the Ancients was that none of their players who had been removed from the field would stay off for the next half. So it was that the Collision faced off again, more violent images running through their rotting eyes. The half started brutally, with no less than 3 Ancients being sent off KO'd due to either blocks or the vicious boot of Dirk Condor. It was Crash Test Dummy that had been given the job of ball carrying. Fat Al being the only other ghoul fit had been given orders to blitz down a wing and look for an opening. He went one way and Crash the other. It left the Ancients wondering who would score, and their ambling defense again looked slow to counter any moves. Flesh and Bones then picked up his game following the lead of Junkyard Dog, and mid way through the half he had started to compile a long list of either CAS or KO'ed players, including the big blocking force of Diesel. it wasn't enough though, and while the melee in the middle of the field ensued Crash test was able to run away, and comfortably held the ball whilst seeing off any tacklers. Blackheart was left KO'ed in his wake.
2-1 with only a small time to play. The Ancients broke down a wing and were a chance of scoring but it was Crash Test that spoiled any thoughts of glory as he single handedly brought down Dark Vengeance leaving no options available for the score.
Best for the Ancients
3 - Eth'el (mighty blocking)
2 - Flesh and Bones (Did his job, but possibly left his run too late.)
1 - Oddbits (despite being CAS'ed twice, and Ko'ed once he kept returning to the game. Motivational effort as every CAS was regen'd for the Ancients.)
Best for the Collision
3 - Crash Test (Scored, blitzed and rushed, never looked like being stopped)
2 - Semi Trailer (Awesome blocking, had 2 KO's to go with his 2 CAS.)
1 - Fat Al (fumbled throw, but experienced hands ensured he was still able to score.)”
