Not a great draw of handicaps which gave the Guardians a very rare full roster to play with. The Guardians got a lucky early casualty on a Str4 player (first turn?) and from there, some handy bad luck for my opponent (fumbled pass, a Blitz! etc) and the Guardians superstars were able to steal the ball and score on defence a couple of times.

There were a few tense moments, such as the one turn drive on turn 8 by Happy Feet that became a 2 turn drive thanks to Injury Time! The Guardians put up a line of 8 defenders and Happy Feet avoided one Diving Tackler but failed the second and just missed out on taking the score to 2-2.

Diving Tackle was the key again later as another Catcher was unlucky to fail a DT roll (with Dodge it is 75% chance to get away) and that led to another TD by the Guardians.

All in all, a good game for both teams with no permanent injuries, no FF loss and some cash. Both teams got at least 1 advance too :)

Better luck in the future Colossus and perhaps we can have a rematch some day.”
