“With some trepidation our boys stepped onto the field this day. Their opponents, the Madboyz of Mork has made it quite clear overthe preceeding weeks that they were making a move away from the ball and back to the fists. No guts, no glory.
The Kick Off was slightly delayed by a scuffle in the undisciplined Orcs' changerooms. Some kind of fight had broken out between their Star Thrower and the new Goblin, leaving the highly skilled Bogdag KO'd. To United's joy, he would maintain this condition for the remainder of the match.
Opening up in Offence, the Madboyz quickly set about beating on the Carlton players with no particular preference. Exactly what Mr. Swan had expected, he sent Edward Birk downfield to Blitz the ballcarrier, Rannos, and put pressure on the Orcs early. Both sides rushed numbers to the scene and a fierce struggle ensued, one that would continue for most of the half, would see both Birk and Nigglefish carried from the field on stretchers, but would eventually see Joe Hurler carry the ball over the line for United.
With not much time left in the first half, the Orcs were looking at lobbing the Gob. They had trouble getting the ball to him though as a long pass from Grag was not on target. Another scrum. Gordon Lau and Mr. Swan on stretchers. Half time.
Carlton's first Offence saw only 9 players left to take the field. With the two throwers running the ball back deep into their own half, United sent runners forward to see if anything could be created from their superior speed and agility. Nothing presented itself for a time but neither did the Orcs put pressure on the ball. Finally the Duke managed to get himself relatively open and, receiving a long pass from Dave Vigil, pounced over the line. The crowd went wild at Carlton's second score, more so for the scorer than for the scoreboard.
The 9 men in defence looked thinly spread and the green tide of Orc looked vicious as they the players prepared for another drive. A bad kick from United left the Madboyz Ogre with the ball clutched in his mighty fist. The Orcs surged forward slowly but surely, Carlton doing little with their inferior muscle and numbers to stop them.
Da Ulk sensing an easy score left his cage and headed for the line. The Duke has been waiting for this chance and took it with lightning speed. Charging the Ogre with a ferocity that only the Duke can muster, he downed him with one fist and surrounded the ball with his other. Not for long though, as he was soon surrounded by half the Orc team and beaten, with a heart stopping, sickening crunch, into the KO box.
The 'til now ecstatic crowd was silenced. The Orcs were jubilant. Bazman was away! With only 5 comrades left on the field to back him up, Bazman needed not one of them as his legs carried him away from the action faster than any Orc could ever dream of following. 3-0 Carlton.
The dying seconds provided a show of Orcish Gob tossing for the fans as Da Ulk sent Soddit sailing into the endzone right on the gong. Consolation for the greenskins, but a convincing win for Carlton.

Thanks for the Game, Cat. Great fun and a few tense moments. Them Orcs will get it back, never fear! ;) ”
