Our third game was one we were not looking forward to. The often underrated Vampires would likely pose us great difficulties in so far as out Ogres wouldn’t be likely to tie them up as well as they had done our previous Chaos opponents.

From the looks of the Coaches strides to the sidelines, they looked as though were under the influences of toxic substances, this would later be confirmed by their slurred orders, several empty bottles of wine and a few empty paint pots in a poorly ventilated coach in the case of BrownRob.

With coaches impaired, it was left to two of the most unreliable teams in the FUMMBL premiership to make a difference.

The game began with the Vampires kicking. Ignoring the Ogres on the LOS save one at the left flank, they broke down that wing making a covering passage way for a vampire to slip down.

The lumbering ogres decided not to give chase and instead a couple of them seemed content to waste a RR, shove a couple thralls around and flick bogies at passing Gobos who had to dash to cover the vampire.

The second turn saw the Vamps moving into better position, whilst the Ball Carrier forgot to move completely… obviously the victim of a stray hypnotic gaze, and sit in the back field.

Finally, some of the Ogres decided there was more fun to be had where the Gobos and thrallshad congregated and wondered over to see what they were all talking about. The Gobos on the other hand begun taking things into their own hands with Nipples Smalley putting a surprised Vampire to ground!

With the ball carrying Thrall now worry about the large Ogre bearing down on him he opted to go elfbowl, and directed the charge. The blitz came in to open a gap. The ball carrier rand down and through a pass to the vamp who then nimbly dodged his way through for the score!

The Gobos turn to drive, and still a lot of time. The Ogres lined the LOS, with Nipples Smalley directing them from the back… four of the Ogres, in turn, decided to do nothing… annoyed beyond hell, Nipples decided that if you want to do something right, do it yourself. He blitzed a vampire with the aid of an ogre and Gobo and badly hurt him! Huzah! So inspired by this the nominated ball carrier for the drive spilt the ball…

The half soon drew to an end with little of consequence coming from either team… but it appeared that we couldn’t rely on either our ogres or the well fed vampires to help us out in reducing Thrall numbers.

Ok – I forgot to finish this report and after sobering up, I forget how it ended… :)

So, to summarise… we fouled a vampire, sent him to the reserves thanks to the regen, and stalled for a 1 – 1 draw… I think! :)

Sacrificed a +MA for use on a DP since Zons were coming up, and if we got them down, I wanted to keep them that way…

Thanks for the game Rob, was fun! :)
