“Luck meter is out as the game dropped out just before half time when the luck reading was 45-56 to my opponent's advantage.

Well it was a very tough first half, with the Skaven starting on offence and getting a casualty (BH) on their very first block of the game. The Skaven spread out and tried a Long Pass? to a Gutter Runner in the end zone. The pass was missed (or the catch dropped) and the Gutter was sent out of bounds as the ProElfsionals took the ball.

The Elves lost their Apo on a snake eyes dodge RIP! only to have the Skaven snake a dodge at the start of their turn to get two turns in a row!

The Skaven put up a good chase and managed to knock the ball free, causing a stun. The Elves pushed a Skaven lineman onto the ball and it scattered into the arms of an Elf lineman in a TZ who caught the ball and dodged in for a score just before the half time siren.

In the second half, it was 10 vs 10 as the Elves got a casualty on T8 of the first half. The Elves soon were up two players as they KOd one player and sent another out of bounds.

The Skaven pressured the ball well, getting a one dice blitz on the ball carrier (both down I think) but the Elves responded by sending another Skaven player out of bounds and then sending the ball to the other half of the pitch.

The Skaven got two tackle zones on the ball carrier, but the Elves just needed 2+ 2+ (or a straight 6 would mean only one roll) to score. The first dice came up a skull, but the reroll got a Skull/Pow, knocking over the Gutter Runner and a 2+ dodge took the ProEflfsionals to a commanding 2-0 lead with just 3 turns left in the game.

The Skaven were unable to score after getting a double skulls on their attempt to free up a Gutter Runner and rerolling the block to a push (so I sidestepped to remain next to the Gutter). The Elves had a magical T16 where they got stacks of pows, a 3+ pickup, but then failed the 2+ catch for a completion.

All in all a good result for both teams with no permanent injuries and some money and SPP each. ”
