“A very unlucky match for the Dead. The Shadows spent the first half attempting to steer clear of Bloody Knuckles while playing a grinding running play, using their guard advantage to full effect. They did however have to mark Bloody Knuckles on the final turn to stop a blitz on the ball carrier. Bloody Knuckles then decided to dodge out, unfortunately the lineman set to keep tabs on him stuck out a foot and tripped him. After so many matches Bloody Knuckles must have been a touch fragile as his neck snapped and even his remarkable recovery skills couldn't get him up out of the dirt again. Not a good way for a star to die. Much respect to Johnny for not complaing about it in the slightest and taking the will of Nuffle on the chin!
The second half saw the Shadows playing awfully. Mainly down to their coach feeling the effects of jetlag and being unable to cope with an irrate fan berating him from the stands (read: the phone rang). Somehow a shot at the ball carrier did eventually appear and after the ball was loose a lucky pass got the ball to Areze and allowed him to run in the second score of the match.
Good game for the Shadows with no injuries and plenty of cash. Thanks again for the match Johnny. Looking forward to a rematch soon.”
