Our opponent had numbers though Nuffle was decidedly against us both.
Our first turn started with 4 1s, which allowed one player to move and the blitz to actually get to the ball was wasted.
They fought hard and managed to score, a well earned TD.
On the ensuing kickoff, they had a blitz, they couldn't quite reach the ball, but it didn't matter as Nuffle raised his ugly head and we could not pick up the ball.
Another hard earned TD for them.
On the ensuing kickoff, another blitz. Thankfully they could not take advantage of it and we managed to get a player into scoring position. Unfortunately elf ball does not leave much room for mistakes and Nuffle insured there were mistakes aplenty.
The half ended with our heroes down by two. A rousing pep talk by the coach must have got the rats riled up as they started to make some block, make some plays. I think the chicken sacrificed to Nuffle may have helped as well.
A quick Gutter runner score, followed by another quick turnover on our opponents part gave us the tie heading into the 5th. Unfortunately a tough bounce put the ball in the hands of one his vamps. However by this time we had somehow managed to take a two man advantage. With the numbers on our side we managed to free up the ball after alot of difficulties on both our parts.
Another fast play and we had the lead with the ref ready to whistle the end of the game.
Tough game for our opposition, but it was quite funny how Nuffle worked his magic to make things extremely difficult.
Great and fun game, had me laughing and shaking my head.
Rat of the Match: Wipers, he didn't cause any casualties or score, but he stood and helped on just about every hit causing our opponent more than a little discomfort.”
