“The dark elves thought the blood gods smiled luck on them when they won the coin toss. The elves were wrong, the blood gods smiled because they knew much elf blood would seep into the muddy field. The orcs started with a blitz, then smashed elves and broke a neck that couldn't be healed. Through the chaos, the elves just barely managed to score to take a 1-0 lead. But they had lost 3 players so had no spares left on the bench for the second half. The carnage continued in the second half with more causalties inflicted by the hard hitting orcs for a total of five in the game. The orcs would have tied it if not for some bad die rolls at the end of the game trying to pick and handoff the ball.
At the end no elves stood on the field and only four prone elves gasped for air on the ground.
The dark elves won, but the price was very very high.
This was a tough match that was well coached.
Good Game!”
