The Norse started in offence and used their apothecary immediately as a Thrown Rock caused a -AV on a +AG Blitzer in the backfield.
The Norse got the ball and fouled a player KO? and put their niggled Ogre on a wing. The Rats blitzed and killed him outright (with the Claw RSC dude)!
The Worse responded by knocking the mutated rat and fouling him to hell literally (RIP and apoth fail).
The Worse fouled repeatedly, and got sent off on their third foul with the ref watching (and the fourth, so in the end, it was 2 from 5 which is exactly average - 2 or 3 from 5) and got a strong player advantage with the casualties and KOs that followed.
They ran in the ball and were unable to stop the Rats doing a OTS as they made their 3+ pickup,(sure hands), 2 GFI? 2+ pass (with Pass), 2+ catch, 2 GFI and 3+ 3+ 2+ dodge.
Second half the Norse lined kicked and were receiving again almost instantly as the one turner ran all the way to just before the endzone before being forced to score the next turn.
The Worse had 10 players (2 KO) to against 7 Rats and found themselves under pressure when they got a one dice pow (after a few GFIs). The Worse recovered the ball and played the numbers game, forcing one player out of bounds as they slowly pushed the ball fowards.
The Rats knocked the ball free again, but the Norse had the numbers to spill it free and make the 3+ pick up to salvage the draw.
--------------
Despite my opponent being vastly outnumbered, it was still not easy as a few Skaven stars (+Str, Dauntelss Strip Ball, One Turner) kept the pressure on their much less experienced and slower opponents.
On the luck side, my opponent had some horrid luck with the cas suffered (3/1/3) but also made the string of rolls when it counted (the OTS) and got a few one dice pows to keep me under pressure.
Certainly getting rid of his most dangerous (cas-wise) player helped me enormously and meant I was not losing as many players from the pitch. However, the MA 11 is a match winner/saver if you can make the GFIs and Dodges and indeed he got the crucial first half OTS that saved the match for Cribble.
