“The Warriors started in offence and soon found themselves bogged down with a few of their players getting KO and playing on the backfoot due to a Blitz! to start the game with the Engines catching the ball.
The Warriors knocked the ball free and the Engines had the opportunity to pick it up and set up a pretty strong screen deep in Warriors territory if they could pick the ball up from the sidelines.
The Engines failed the pick up, burning a RR and one of their players got pushed out of bounds. The Warriors recovered the ball and swung it back around the other side, only to get mobbed by trains again, and a chain push blitz set up a 1 dice block for an OOB (needing 3+) on the ball carrier.
Both teams fought for the ball to no avail and the half ended 0-0.
The Warriors were pounded however, with few players coming back from the KO box and a player (maybe 2?) in the serious injury box. The Engines had used their mechanical supplies to stop an early MNG only to have Edward killed on the next turn.
However, the Engines could still field 11 players vs the Warriors 7? and a couple of KOs and further injuries meant the Warriors had limited options once the Engines got the ball caged with a Blodger and Percy delived the ball to Touchdown Station for the matchwinning score.
With one turn left and only 4 players, the Norse were blitzed! Luckily for them no one was knocked down but it made their last turn blocks a little harder. The last player left to move was Thomas the Norse Blitzer who did a -2D block against Murdoch the Ogre and the dice came up Skull and Skull/Pow to bring up a RIP to finish off a brutal match for the Warriors.”
