#8 Kevin "Curl" Curtis – Smashed Knee (NI) #13 Jeremy "Stout" Cain – Smashed Knee (NI)
“A brutal rematch of the first game of the season. This time we were taking no chances and hired a wizard to help us. The opening half started well with Marcus scoring a TD on an end around. However, we suffered a number of injuries and our numbers dwindled. After the kickoff we decided to use the wizard to allow us a chance to make it 2-0. We grabbed the ball and Jeremy Cain just need 1 more gfi to be out of reach of the Khermi and be assured the TD...but snake eyes on the gfi and he was niggled as well. A valiant attempt - and his loss dispirited the team. More entered the KO and fewer and fewer were on the field. The half ended 1-0 and to start the second, we kicked off deep into the corner. The Khermi moved close to the ball and our TTM attempt was fumbled - but we pushed forward. The sure handed khermi failed the pickup to put the ball into the very corner. A TTM dropped a fairy close to the ball - and he staggered forward to mark the Thro-Ra. Then Ryan Moats burst round the corner, making a dodge, then a 1d block (needed team RR) to push away the thro-ra, then 2 gfi and a pick up of the ball in the endzone! A stunning play, it was certainly the play of the game...up 2-0...the game was essentially over - although Marcus added another TTM score to push the final score to 3-1.
Well played - critical fumbled pickup and amazing blitz was the game there! See you again in the playoff!”
“Said coach Prasomchai after this game, in which his team were taken to the cleaners:
"My boys got all complacent after their wonder start to the NBFL. They started turning up late for training, disrespecting me and my staff, and visiting houses of ill repute to the early hours before game day!
Let me tell you, these past two games have knocked some sense into them. Well, that and the hammering I gave them after this one! Liquidator won't be the only casualty if they don't get their collective act together!
On the field they may be tough, but in the dressing room, I call the shots. We'll be making bone soup of the next player who gets ahead of himself! That's a damn promise!"”
