"Hi, sportsfans, and welcome to another night filled with bloody mayhem. This time we are live at the clash between the Wood Elves of Arkansas Instinct and the Orcish Seattle Survivors. I'm Bob Biford and this is Jim Johnson. Jim, what do we know of these two teams?"

"Howdy, Bob. It'r really great to commentate another match of our all time favorite sport, BloodBowl. Well, we know not much of the Instinct. They played two official games so far. The first was versus New Jersey Nosferatu, in their second match they played Garden City Grumbles, and won both games 3-0. Quite impressive for such a young team, if you ask me. About the Orcs of Seattle Survivors we know even less. They joined the league only recently and this is going to be their first game. Bob, do you think they can put up a good fight or will they just get outrun by those swift Elves?"

"Uhmm, hard to tell, Jim. But I can tell you one thing for sure: They will give everything and it seems that they were really inspired by their coach. Look at those massive Black Orc, Durgug Doubledwarf, as he's warming up for the match. He seems really psyched! Ouch, he just ran over one of the warm up dummies, oh, look! There goes a second one! I'm sure the Wood Elves' instincts tell them to stay away of that Survivor."

"I bet, Bob. But as the teams are still warming up we're back with the kick off just after a short break…"

<Play Orcacola.ad>

"Here we are back again. Just in time to see the Instinct kick off. And it seems that Bob was right – those Orcs really are hot for the match! The ball is still in the air and they react just a split second earlier than their oponents."

"Yes, Jim. They are now clearly set up for a strong right hook. And it's not surprising that Dorgug Doubledwarf gets the first hit on the elves. He slams himself against Uranus, pushes him back… and he's mangled by the spectators. Uh, that's always ugly. Let's hope he'll make it back to his teams dug out."

"And that's Razag Runswift, one of those feared Orcish Blitzers, who picks up the ball and goes for a loose pocket his teammates have formed on their right wing. Now it's Blastikk Painspear who's gonna try and bring up his body count. He's after Neptune, but LOOK! That elf was well prepared. He's down, Bob, Painspear is down and if you ask me he won't be back this match. That's a severe blow to the Orcs, if you ask me."

"Again, Jim, you're right. But now the Arkansas Instinct seems to recover from that quick snap and prepare to fight back. They manage to throw some blocks and even bring down some of the Survivors but they'll be up on their legs in no time. Now the Orcs tighten their pocket around Runswift and try clear the path for him. And that's Duglum Ghouleater who's going for Aries, the Instinct's safety."

"Bob, sorry to interrupt you. But Aries will not be hampered much by that single Orc. And just as I say it he goes for Runswift who's still carrying the ball. From behind his back Ceros runs up and – BAM! – with Aries' support he throws Runswift back. The Orc stumbles but stays on his feet. Jupiter now tries to utilize Runswift's short phase of lazyness and blocks him."

"Ouch – that must have hurt. Runswift shrugs him up just like a fly and Jupiter goes down. The Survivors now have the clear advantage on the right flank and are slowly going for the endzone, with Razag Runswift carrying the ball. The elves don't give up yet, but it doesn't look too good for them now. Again Ceros takes the initiative and goes for Runswift in a desperate attempt to stop hime but he's nicely tackled by Doubledwarf and Redface. Can noone stop that Orc?"

"No, Bob, it doesn't look like any elf will be able to. And again the crowd goes wild as Doubledwarf sends Neptune surfing. Seems he's going for the crowds recognition."

"Look, Jim! The Instinct is not going to take this without retaliation. Pluto and Saturn gang up on Roar Razorclaw and send him straight to his dug out. And now Venus and Ceros are going to take Doubledwarf out. Doubledwarf alone is as strong as they are combined. No, they can't bring him down. But he stumbles back one step – and that was one step too much! He is swallowed by the crowd. They gave him what he rightly deserved."

"True, but I'm sure he'll be back for the next drive. In the meantime the Survivors managed to protect Runswift and they are now within scoring range. The Instinct put up a last effort to stop him but Ceros failes that all important block. Runswift goes for the endzone and only Pluto can stop him now. Pluto goes, he goes… Uhhhh, sportsfans, as you can hear by the crowd's cheers Pluto couldn't get past Ghouleater who makes a very solid job protecting Runswift tonight. And he scores! Runswift scores for the Seattle Instinct and there are only seconds left on the clock. It's clearly impossible for the elves to score in the first half."

"Ah, not so sure about that, Jim. BloodBowl is known for it's unpredictable events… And while we wait for the players to set up for kick off we'll be back in a minute…"

<Play Bloodweiser2.ad>

"Well, here we are back, and what did I tell you, Jim? The ref just anounced an extra time due to all those knock outs the players suffered. That's pretty unusual as the match hasn't been exceptionally violent so far."

"Yes, you said it, Bob. But the Orcs have lined up deep in their own half of the pitch. And with only short time left the Wood Elves dare not to go near them. The ref blows the whistle and that's the end of first half."

"Very surprisingly the Seattle Survivors are 1-0 in the lead. Will the Arkansas Instinct be equally successful in the second half? You'll see it right here after the halftime break, folks."

"Hi, sportsfans, welcome back to second half of our tonight's clash between the Arkansas Instinct and the Seattle Survivors. The Survivors are leading by one touchdown, which is far from comfortable, and the must now kick to ball to their oponents. Will the be able to hold the quick elves? My co-commentator Jim will tell you…"

"Thank you, Bob. The teams have lined up and the Survivors are ready to kick off. At the start of the first half they showed good tactical preparation as they managed to snap the ball quickly and catch the Instinct on the wrong foot. But this time it's totally different as the Wood Elves are receiving the ball.
And here we go – the ball is in the air."

"Jim, what's that? The survivors again caught the elves unprepared! That's a classical Blitz! Hooray! Before the Instinct even react Doubledwarf and Helmsmasher made it round their line of scrimmage and are now in the defense' back."

"Bob, that is just amazing. Those Orcs seem to be really well prepared. But now it's time for the elves to get their drive going. Pluto's picking up the ball and heading for the right wing. They seem to engage a similar tactic to the Orcs by forming a loose cage around Pluto. Well, that was a nice move, Jim, as they managed to bring down Doubledwarf, Toestompa and Bloodhammer. They now clearly have the advantage on the field."

"Yes, Jim. But they are still far from the Survivor's end zone and there are still some Orcs to be passed by on the way to it. Helmsmasher and Ghouleater put pressure on Pluto by running up on him in his back, currently unhindered by any elves. And from up front Krunt – some call him "The Cat" – pushes Venus out of his way and manages to get a grab on Pluto. Things are not looking good for the Instinct, are they?"

"No, your analyzing was accurate as always. The Instinct desperately try to defend Pluto but the Survivors are just that bit more determined. Look – that's "The Cat" going for Pluto. And Pluto's down, the ball is free. Just to be picked up by Ghouleater. He's going deep for the Instinct's end zone. Will the Instinct be able to catch him in time or is he already too far down the field?"

"Jim, you should know better. The elves should be fast enough. And as I say Neptune and Mercury go downfield, Mercury avoids the clumsy tackle by Runswift, both put in some extra speed, reach Ghouleater – the specators hold their breath! – and with a mighty bang the Orc Blitzer goes down."

"And the ball bounces into the spectators. Bob – the specs are passing the ball from one stand to another, back again, and then finally they throw it far onto the field. The ball is now right at the center. The Survivors react the swiftest and Prattar Halfgiant knocks Saturn down right onto the ball. It bounces, Bloodhammer can't get hold of it, tries again, failes again, and the ball gets to rest next to Kratash Bloodhammer."

"Yeah, the Orcs now move in to protect the ball while Ghouleater gest up on his feet again and manages to escape the hands of Mercury. In the center the Elves are clearly after the ball. Ceros and Mars bring down Runswift in a combined effort and with some unbelievable skill and speed shown Demos runs in, avoids the interference by Bloodhammer, picks up the ball right under his nose and passes it short to Ceros."

"That was a great move by Demos. The Orcs still look confused. Well, it's not anyday that they get to see such an elfish whirlwind. And he might have saved the day for the Instinct with his daring action. Oh, noes… Again it's Doubledwarf, that big black Orc who's bringing down Demos, the ball bounces free, only to be picked up by Runswift. That blitzer broke a tackle by Mars on his way to the ball, and he now passes it midfield to Razorclaw. Razorclaw's looking for a save place for him, doesn't find one and finally runs upfield and to the left to Krunt. But things doesn't look good. Krunt is already engaged by two elves and more are closing in on them. Rightly both go down!"

"Yes, Jim. And now the elves have the ball. Pluto brings it downfield, protected by Demos and Saturn. Toestompa goes for Pluto and tries to interfere while Doubledwarf brings down Saturn. That Orc truly makes a great game tonight! Ugh – and that's what we all love: Runswift, who just had a very nice action picking up and passing the ball, shows now that he's not only skilled in handling the ball but also in bloodshed and violence. He knocks down Ceros with a crushing blow. That boy is out for a while for sure."

"Bob, you're right. I'd wonder if he'd be able to play his team's next match. But it seems that this action was invane. Noone can stop Pluto who's carrying the ball nearer and nearer to the Survivors' end zone. Only Runswift, again that great Blitzer!, is in range. He goes for it, he goes… He made it all the way but – WHAM! – got slammed down by Pluto who's now clear for the end zone. Some pirouettes, some dancing steps, wave of his hand to his fans and Pluto scores!"

"That was an unbelievable drive, Jim. Both teams had the ball several times and the Instinct already seemed to be down 2-0. But then some heroic effort put in brought them the 1-1. Do you think the Survivors can compensate that blow and manage to score in the last minutes?"

"Don't think so, Bob. But this evening already has taught us some lessons and we now know that the Survivors are nicely prepared for every kick off situation. Let's see what they bring up this time."

"It's going real fast now. Both teams already have lined up for the kick off. The ref blows his whistle and the ball's in the air. As expected the Orcs run upfield as fast as they can while the Instinct had lined up deep in their own half to prevent a sudden break through."

"Yes, both Krunt and Runswift seem to be in scoring position. Both marked by one Wood Elf, both waiting for Ghouleater to pick up the ball and throw it. And Ghouleater has the ball! He makes some ground and throws – perfect ball! – AWWWWW, but Krunt couldn't bring it under his control. Seems that Pluto had his fingers just that important bit inbetween."

"And that's it been, Jim. The ref blows the whistle and an exciting game end in a 1-1 tie."
