#4 Owen Hart – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#4 Owen Hart – Smashed Knee (NI)
#10 Ricky Romero – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#10 Ricky Romero – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
Well, I thought I was particuarly lucky to get away with a draw in this one, even if in the end it was secured pretty easily.

Great winnings though not enough to replace a wight, ff stayed the same and I gained another zombie thanks to the already mentioned sub-soil pyrotechnics device.

I made 2 fouls, both were sent off straight away for 2 KO's

The Cost:
Ricky Romero, Block guard Kick zombie - niggled failed regen from a thrown rock before the game had started.

Owen Hart, Rookie Wight and part of my rebuild niggled turn 3 I think in a block, failed regen.

Classy Freddie Blassie, I worked him hard this game, and he managed to pick up the 6spp needed tot ake him from rookie to his first skill. He aged -av but picked up tackle.

This team has had more than its fair share of bad luck I think.

Still the mummies powered on, and Bam Bam was a great help against the blodgers. I had plans for this season as far as the rebuild was concerned but they kind of lay in pieces on the floor.

I felt shitty playing for the draw, but my frame of mind after the 11 restarts ( yes 11 restarts) and the cas was just to get what I could out of the game and skill up a wight. SO the wight got skilled up and I also got a new zombie out of it so it ended on a relatively upward swing, until the skill roll and the aging on 6spp that is. :P

It was fun to play you erik, I think that's the first time we've met. I've played rabid a few times and I think not having a Stone on your team made things all the more bearable!

Good luck in your next game.

edit: Oh You can have some twahns even though Im not counting them in conf this season :P

3 points: DDD - for niggling my wight
2 points: Brown Fish for the TD
1 point: Crowlockylockville for the tackling, though my ghouls survived ok.

#12 Dangerous Digital Dave – Dead (RIP)
Season XXI begins with a first round match up against the Deadmen Wrestling who a back from a 1 season adventure in Prem.

This was always going to be a tough game for the Woods but they sure got off to a flier. The Crowd did their bit by launching a missile at Ricky Romero taking him out of the game before the first Kick-off had even occurred. The Woodies shotgun offence worked a treat as the Undies had not chance of tying up all the recievers. Smoker J managed to pick out Brown Fish who gave the Woodies the early lead.

This when things got a little wierd. A rogue Wizard had managed to escape from the looney bin and was having the time of his life at the Footy. Players were vansihing here and there. Time was standing still and then lunging forward so often that none of the players on the pitch really knew what was going on. Rick Rude seemed to finally figure out what was going on and if not for some determined last ditch defence from Crowlockylockville it would have been all square at the break.

During the interval the mentally deranged Wizard was finally gagged up by the nice men in the white coats. The Second half brought back some bad memories for the WDDs. To often the Men of Wood haev been ground under foot by a stronger team and today was not going to be an exception to the rule. With Elves leaving the pitch in droves courtesy of some big hitting by Giant Baba II the Deadmen had an easy stroll into the endzone. Dangerous Digital Dave tried a 1in a million play to knock the ball loose but the normally reliable Wardancer got things horribly wrong. He leapt in front of Rick Rude but landed on a stray explosive device presumably left by our friend the Nutacse Whiz. With a sharp bang and then a splat DDD was no more. With just 3 Woodies left on the pitch Classy Freddy Blaise held of the TD to ensure a draw for the Deadmen.

Not the perfect start to the season the boys were hoping for but it could have been much worse. They will need to break their undie hoo-doo next round to have any chance of getting back into prem.

Twahnlows

3pts: Giant Baba II - A 1 man wrecking ball. Cleared the pitch with style.

2pts: Rick Rude - Did the simple things well. His safe hands meant the ball was always secure

1pt: Bam Bam Terry Gordy - Along with GB II, Terry was the go to man for the undies to bring down their dodgier opponents.

Cheers for the game Redmaul and thanks for sticking through those trying times.
