“Game 1, Season XXI

With our rough finish to last season we could only field 10 against a well-rounded CD team so we went into the game primarily looking to survive.
We would have taken any TD's on offer but the dorfs shutdown any early chances and the first half was spent holding the ball deep in the backfield hoping for a desperation play on turn 7 or 8 to steal a score. The CD defence didn't even give us that chance however and at half time the game was still scoreless.
As expected the CD's proceded to take the ball right to the endzone, stall and protect it against our dwindling player numbers. Obelixcodix died to a boot from Nat and the apo botched the resuccitation attempt.

Polysyllabix got in two daring blitzes against the odds on the hobgob ball carrier late in the second half and for a brief moment we had hope the dorfs might concede a draw by failing the pickup. Wasn't to be tho and they scored on turn 15.

Our luck finally turned on the kickoff. Fielding only five players, we got a quick snap and managed a single pushback to put Polysyllabix in range of the endzone. He capped off a terrific game for him personally when he had to squeeze between both the bull centaurs to score the equalizer.
