“Game 2 - Season XXI
Was a fun Game.
Agitate was slightly outclassed in skill and experience. The last words from the coach before players took the pitch was "Dont hold back". Which they didnt, sometimes foolhardishly. Fortunately for the team some members of the Gauls were still recovering from the match (and afterparty) vs BBQ Wednesday Regulars. This allowed Agitate to take advantage use the mistakes against the Gauls. The Gauls recovered nicely, playing a much more solid playstyle and helf out for the draw.
3 pts - Fulliautomatix. Caused a Cas and 2 KO's on the Gauls drive. This paved the way for a somewhat easy TD despite my efforts.
2 pts - Wineanspirix. The young elven catcher played his debut game as if already a legend. Did not let nerves impede his ability. Even took a hit from my blitzer only to jump back up and catch the ball whizzing passed his head. Turns out this intercept possible saved the team from a loss.
1 pt - Beefix. Cleaner extroadinaire. Controlled the ball pretty well when it was needed. If the ball hit the ground in swept Beefix to clean up. Assisted in both TD's. ”

The teams were pretty even going in although we had a bigger bench. After a lucky draw first up we were looking for a win to get the season off to a good start. The Warriors didn't play well though and mucked up some early chances to gain skills. A second failed pass attempt by Cacafonix allowed our cousins to sneak in for the first TD. We scored next and Agitate should have gone into the half 2-1 up except for a fortunate intercept by Wineanspirix on debut to deny them.
Agitate were comforatably in control in the second half and score but gave us a couple of turns to score the equalizer. We left it till the last turn with Unhygenix going in for the TD from a pass from Beefix which Agitate, fortunately for us, weren't able to intercept.
A pretty uninspiring game from the Gauls but at least Drinklikafix and Cacafonix did enough to get their second skill.
