“The Mausoleum went into this match as slight underdogs, mainly due to missing Cedric, their at least semi-competent ghoul. The opposing coach also needed a quick game as he had to be elsehwere in fifty minutes!
The Heroes won the toss and decided to receive. They proceeded to block the line and put a couple of catchers deep in the Mausoleum's backfield. In their turn the Mausoleum blitzed one and marked the other. Before they could surround the remaining catcher though a double skull, re-roll both down for a zombie ended the turn prematurely. Really need to get those zombies some skills!
After this though the game went swimmingly for the Mausoleum. For the rest of the half, followed by the second they simply caged up and by making good use of 3d blocks the mummies started to clear the pitch. There were a few worrying moments when the Heroes got a 1d on the ball carrier but the Mausoleum were confident they could gather the ball should it get spilt.
Good game for the Mausoleum, netting a skill on Eldwulf and the rookie ghoul, Hygelac. Good fun coach to play and look forward to a rematch. Perhaps not rushing quite so much next time!”
