#7 Mort – Smashed Knee (NI)
Warcake is a new coach in Fumbbl. A coach I'd recommend avoiding until he has played 50 games or so and understands how luck works and is able to control his temper.

I scored a quick touchdown with my Str 4 wolf, and on the following drive he was knocked out on a dodge (1, re-roll, 1). Following this I was told how lucky I was, because the wolf knocked someone down before being knocked out. Good stuff.

Anyway, if you watch the replay any coach with an ounce of skill would realize he could have easily won if he knew what he was doing. Badly formed cages allowed me to slow down the 4 mummies and Ramtut (who had the ball on a bad kick, more of my 'good' luck I guess). A bad placed skeleton in his cage (in front of Ramtut) allowed me to blitz the skel and push Ramtut back, forcing him to hand off or pass to get a TD. He failed, which brought more of his bad luck talk. The fact that it's 2 AG all around and he had no RR had nothing to do with that of course. *rolls eyes*

My St4 werewolf never came out following his KO, and the second half looked grim. We each struck a good blow to each other though, him niggling my block/dp zombie, and myself killing his only throw-ra.

Following this he got the ball and very slowly moved up the field. If he had taken the time to form a better cage it would have been impossible for me to stop him short of 5+ or 6+ dodges. But he didn't do that. I still did a couple of 2 dice he chose, but not once knocked him down that way and always using a re-roll to do so. This of course meant I was lucky. In the end he forgot how tackle zones worked and I put my werewolf in to take out 2 TZ's and blitzed his skeleton with my Golem for 2 dice I choose, knocked him down. The ball eventually scattered to another skeleton. Again, terrible luck for him somehow.

A fortunate 1 dice blitz knocked the ball carrier into the crowd and bounced into the center of mummies and skeletons. He was out of re-rolls at this point and decided going down the line with mummies was a good idea, and rolled 2 double skulls in 3 turns. Forgetting to move guys allowed me to use my meager 6 guys to get into vital positions. And in the end it came down to him picking up and handing off to a blitz-ra for a TD. He made the pickup but not the hand-off. This brought more whining. I mean come on their not elves and you have no RR.

Realizing I won, this brought a torrent of annoying complaints. Even though I rolled a skull on the last block of a game resulting in a badly hurt ghoul and 2 spp for him. That of course was good luck for me and bad luck for him... Aside from all the skulls I also rolled this game.. gah.

So that's the game in all it's glory. I guess 4 cas aren't enough for this guy. At the beginning he said he just wanted to get his 5th game for his khemri so he could make a new team, nothing else mattered. Right.
