“From the opening kickoff, SofaSurfer led the Cowboys up the field with with chess-like precision and patience. Black Moonday's elves held a stiff resistance, but after five turns with the ball on the ground two paces from their own ednzone, Joey "Lover Boy" Galloway smashed through a lone defender, grabbed the ball and scored.
Black Moonday had three turns till half time, took the ball deep into the Cowboy's D and barely managed to score as the clock expired.
The Cowboys could only field 8 to oppose the 10 Moonday players for the second half. The elves played vicious ball control, and although the Cowboys knocked the ball loose a couple of times, eventually the superior numbers led to Moonday leading the game 2-1.
The Cowboys would have had a decent chance to tie it if not for a player disregarding his coach's orders (mis-click) and trying to dodge into an elves tackle zone with no RRs left.
In a post game interview, Ug said "SofaSurfer, well played & looking forward to playing another chess-match style game in the future!"
Game notes: Dark Elf fans prefer highspeed action and violent fights instead of a calculated chess-like game. Some season ticket holders cancelled their subscriptions inspite of the win.”
