#9 Ndelamo – Broken Neck (-AG)
#13 Cyu'ke – Smashed Knee (NI)
A fairly messy game, with the win only coming through a lot of good luck going my way at just the right times.

The Temple won the toss and received, with a plan to use the Sauri to beat the dwarves into submission while the skinks gradually walked the ball forward. Of course this was never going to work. In the end Ndelamo tried to make a dash for it, but some poor planning left him one space short and exposed to the dwarven runner who caught up with him and knocked him over. However he got back up and scrambled the ball over the line (lucky play #1).

The dwarves were then left with a lot of turns for their reply. They gradually bashed their way forward, but some clever skinks cleared an opening to the ball carrier for one of the Sauri. He ran in, and appeared to get knocked straight back over. However, reality seemed to warp around him, and he suddenly found himself knocking the ball carrier over and the ball into the crowd. The crowd threw it deep into the dwarven half of the field, and Ygl'ath dodged away from his marker and ran out of range with it (lucky play #2).

In the second half, the dwarves again started moving the ball up the field and bashing the lizards into the ground on the way. Just as they had the ball near the end zone, a saurus made a miracle dodge and smacked the ball carrier over (lucky play #3). However, the lizards failed to take advantage of it by getting a player to the ball, instead wasting their luck messing around pushing dwarves over in the middle of the field and in the end failing an attempt dodge away and get to the ball. The lucky saurus was pushed into the crowd and Aife got up and scored the touchdown.

In the final play, ahead 2-1, the lizards were mostly worried about not giving the ball away for the equaliser. Having failed to make a good break, they tried to run the ball around in the back of their half of the field and keep it away from the opposition. Finally however the dwarves had the ball surrounded with all the positionals in the team nearby, and just S'bbothog alone near it. He then made a miracle play, dodging right through their stubby legs, picking up the ball and throwing it across the field into an empty space where no-one could reach it before the final siren (lucky play #4).
