“The Dead were out for blood early in this game, calling in a Plague of Bad Luck of biblical proportions against the vile High Elves with their pretty, pretty prancing ways.
The Absolut Apocalypse started with a Blitz, but it was false hope as the Blitz rolled skulls and the Deadites moved into action, covering the ball as it landed near the halfway-line. A supreme move by dirty elf Absolut Vanilla saw him smash into the pack guarding the ball and pick it up as it scattered away. However he only managed to take 2 more steps before trying to take 1 step too many and falling in a heap. From there it was a whole lot of bashing with the Mummies and 1-blockers causing mayhem. Both dirty elf Lion Warriors were pushed off the field as Shadow Flame rushed the ball himself over the line at the end of turn 5. At this point the luck meter was at 18% for the dirty elves, and they probably thought it couldn't get any worse.
The next kickoff and the dirty elves made a good push along the left flank, running the ball up to within scoring range with dirty elf Absolut Vanilla again leading the charge. However CryptDregs smacked Absolut Peach into the grave where he was promptly risen to join the good side! Then a fumble near the sideline by dirty elf Dwayne saw the ball fly into the endzone where Night Stalker, at the limit of his reach, scrambled after it - picked it up - and threw a freakish 50m pass to Shadow Flame who managed to get it to Dangerous Dave for a second TD at the end of the half.
The second half started with a SI by the dirty elf Twilight seeing off the poor defenceless Knuckles. A quarterback sack appeared to be available however when dirty elf Absolut NewOrleans fumbled the ball at the back. Dangerous Dave and Shadow Flame raced to put pressure on the ball but were unsuccessful in preventing dirty elf Absolut New Orleans picking it back up and throwing it to Absolut Citrone who waltzed through the out-of place defense to score in the 3rd turn.
From there it was all fire and brimstone as both teams struggled to assert dominance. The Septic Twitch were playing a possession game and hanging onto the ball despite lack of numbers, but were unable to move up the field. Finally in turn 6 an opening for a switch with Dangerous Dave loose at the top of the field! But unfortunately the long run of good luck finally ran out and Scorpion failed an easy dodge with no rerolls left. With no-one left within range the final 2 turns were simply a blockfest.
Congratulations to Absolut Peach in his new team laying waste to Absolut New Orleans and picking up MVP as well! He has taken Block with his new skill and is hoping to have a long and non-elflike unlife!”
