...typical Elvish flair allowed him to squirm free and toss the football deep to a free man, who due to his pace was to make it in for a late 1st half score!

In many ways this was ideal for the Elves as it left no time for a Maulers retort! It is noteworthy however that it could have been 2-0, as a bodged Maulers pass late on left the Elves in with a great chance, which they somehow failed to convert.

In the 2nd the Maulers again got to work, this time removing Elves left, right and, mostly, center during a punishing drive. Just as they looked good for the score, a brilliant play saw the ball carrier put down after an peripheral Mummy had been pushed aside, and once more the ball tossed free!

This time the Maulers had learned their lesson, and eventually brought down the free Elf, but there was no time to attack, and they went down fighting 1-0.

Overall, a wonderful game, and we take many lessons from it!
