“Great game. Nuffle had real fun giving and taking away hope from both coaches, delivering insane casualties to the humans and making the Undead pay their lack of agility.
Game started with the human offence, stopped on a -2d block resulting in the human catcher down. The Hellfish recovered the ball and stalled til the very last turn, but the casualties and the kos kept rolling in and in the end the humans were severely outnumbered.
Second half saw the undead try a quick score with a lone ghoul, but the superior movement of the humans succeded in stopping the offence. After that, it was five turns of rumble for the ball, involving a mummy, a human blitzer, and a catcher ready to take advantage of the situation. With the opposing numbers thinning every turn, in the end the undead had the manpower to take down all opposition, but they were forced to rely on zombies to do an elf's job... So game over it was.
Great game vs a very nice and chatty opponent. I had some real luck in key moments (for example, when a 1 assist foul with no DP resulted in a RIP on learnthehardway's only potential scorer).
My opponent heavily outbashed me, and was a real threat for all 16 turns.
FF got back to 20, and Ogre got Guard!
Go Hellfish! :)
JanMatty has summed it up exceptionally... except for not saying that I thought the No Life's may have some life in them for a couple of quick touchdowns in the second half. The wisdom of a better coach had all my potential scorers covered and despite a lot of bashing it just was not their day for a win or even a draw.
Despite walking away with a loss No Life's are ready for a rematch (without their favourite mummy) who niggled on his skill roll. :( worst result out of the game was the aging roll. Rest of it was great fun and a hard battle.
Look forward to another game with a Very Cool Coach. =)
Cheers and thanks.”
