“A rough game...going with fairies against dwarves is never easy - however, our player refused to back down from the short ones! In the first half, we received the ball and ran a left sweep after TTM attempt was fumbled. We were in the clear - just needed a gfi to be safe...snake eyes! On the next turn, all we need to do is pick up the ball and we can score...failed the 3+ and used up another re-roll. On the next turn, again we are in a position to score - just need to pick up the ball...failed the 3+ and burned our last RR. Oh the shame! The 1-0 lead was in our grasp and we let it slip away. The first half then ended 0-0.

In the second half, with the injuries increasing, we blitzed across the LOS on the opening kickoff and after a quick scrum, Ryan Moats again burst free for the TD...1-0 our lead...the dwarves received the ball and steamrolled down the field for the 1-1 score with 3 turns left.

We received the kickoff and had a chance for the TTM - but again it failed (pro failing as well). The ball was loose and the dwarves were closing in. We snatched the ball again and had it secure by marcus in between all three trees...the dwarves managed with some gfi to get a blitz off on marcus and the ball bounced...bounced...bounced...very nicely away from all the trees and fairies several spaces away (off of some prone bodies) next to the dwarf runner...who picked up the ball and sprinted downfield....T15 ended with runner 7 spaces away from the winning score. Ryan Moats was not finished however and blitzed the runner and knocked the ball free...it tumbled free...and the runner was down. The other runner (AG 3) then on T16 made the dash - picking up the ball and the gfi...for victory. We still had a T16 to try for the draw...with a RR, ball picked up - but failed the 3+ handoff to marcus (failed catch RR as well). So the game ended...

We came close - but the reality is simple...our team suffered 5 SI/RIP (1 from failed dodge), so the injuries are mounting on the team....and the cash is short.”
