“I always love cheater matches and this one turned out as bloody and unpredictable as I had hoped! It was filled with mayhem right from the start and the two sides really tore themselves to bit originally.
In the early phase of the match it was the regular goblins that stood for the bashing.
Wild'Un BH'd Evil Knievel on the first block of the match and Nasty followed up and kicked Mad Donkey in the head when he was down. The apothecary rushed in to save the lad, which would chose to be a wise move since the little goblin would manage a bizarre tie towards the end of the match.
Lurk was badly smashed by one of the opposing goblins and Santa was killed on a foul. Since the coach had wasted the apothecary to save his miserable life in the last match he made sure to not waste his resources on such a useless old git a second time and he was left bleeding to death on the pitch. Smiley was the next to be carried off the pitch after another regular gobling punched him out and Vroom Vroom got badly bashed by one of the two fanatics that Xorro fielded. Gyro followed suit after having been injured on a foul.
For a while it looked really bad with the injuries piling up for the Skoundrelz, but then they pulled themselves together again. Nasty showed great discipline when he was able to hold of the opponents offensive by smashing the ball carrying Victor Frankenstein in the head with his helmet, inflicting a concussion on the dive tackler.
Just before the half ended Banzai the fanatic got caught up in his own deadly weapon and killed himself in such a gruesome manner that even his own fans cheered with delight.
After having been bashed badly the Skoundrelz got lucky in the half break. They got their KO's back and avoided the ref, while the opponents lost a bomber and their remaining fanatic.
This lead to the Skoundrelz dominating the second half. Despite a near disaster when Kub da Bomba lobbed one of his dynamites into my own cage and badly injured Wild'Un I could cut off the opponents and rush in a TD. I could have won the match here by stalling, but this is stunty league and I had a good time, so I went for it.
Now it was Xorro's turn to get lucky. He got a lot of KO's back, including a ripper, which meant he could muster a good challenge for a tie. They made short work of my LOS troops, leaving me with Reeko Ripflesh, Brik da Bouncy, Nasty and the dive tackler Grim. Kub was put on the LOS and had a great chance to blow himself up together with a whole bunch of opponents, but only managed to hurt himself. Through amazing creativity the apothecary managed to save his life.
The opponents set off on a charge down the left flank and I knew I was in trouble. I did the best I could, but a succesful 1 d block managed to move Nasty enough for the ball Brain Bug to dodge himself to a TD. He went for it, but Nasty tripped him and he landed on a spiked helmet, gorging himself to death. The crowd roared in delight and I now had an excellent chance of tieing up the ball. Brik moved in to snatch it up, but managed to fail his GFI despite sprint and fell down next to the dying Brain Bug. A classic Murk for the otherwise so appreciated pogoer.
Mad Donkey saved the day for his team when he managed to snatch the ball up and run in a late tie.
Thanks for the match, Xorro. It was really fun :) Lots of blood and mayhem and with a truly bizarre ending! Good luck with your team.”
