“Wot a game! For the second time, a team from Snorriheim Bowl has written itself onto the club's history board for upsetting a winning streak bigger than a goblin's ego. First it was the Krasherz who ended the Southside Stone Smashers' 20 game premiership streak (games without a loss), and now the Ecclesiarch's have finally ended Cereal Revenge's 13 game streak in a very similar, belter of a game! If they do nothing else this season, it wont matter....they're now immortal in the halls of Snorriheim!

Back to the game, it was a big one. The count turned up for the ecclesiarch's and hthark the *almost* unstoppable turned up for the dwarves. The Ecclesiarch's received and spent an eternity trying to find a hole in that massive wall arrayed against us. Twas an unusual game for the boys, its been a long time since we've played such a positionally tactical game - certainly not something we expected (we should have studied our opponent!). In the end, we managed to get a couple of tiny breaks - a relatively safe half for our boys and knocking out an annoying dwarf mid half saved our bacon. Then *stopping* the unstoppable late in the half sealed us our first touchdown despite captain crunch setting himself nobly up as bait in turn 8. And goddamn it was tempting to lay into the bugger, but a chance to steal a big upset was more alluring.

Second half was a real dog fight. The dwarves gave us the positional advantage early on by missing the ball deep in their half and we managed to cordon off the annoying longbeards behind a wall of mummies. But those damn bulls...god they're good. For the entire half they kept threatening to run in the equaliser. Turn 12 or so they looked good for it, but for some unfathomable reason they held back and gave the ecclesiarch's defence some time to muster. Maybe they were playing for the draw.

Come turn 15 and all looked safe for a 1-0 win...but then the lure of laying the boot into such alot of bull overcame us (the noob in us will always triumph!). We should have taken the double arrows to tuck capn' crunch securely away from the ball, but we had to get the boot in! So we rr'd...double pow skulls and Cap'n crunch must have been booming a belly laugh of hill giant proportions as he broke away, knocked down the defence and ran away with the ball. Fortunately, the count mustered a last minute counterattack and did just enough to bring him down and hold the bulls off for the win.

Must admit though, despite our boys having a blinder it really was a belter of a game. Ansalon's lads kept on coming despite losing the positional advantage both halves, but just missed out on the few big moments that they needed.

Impossible not to vote for him - more of a handful than any player that I can ever recall. S6 is bad enough, but S6 with the potential to pickup and carry a ball is a killer.

On any other team he'd be a star. Why he continues to hide meekly under Cap'n Crunch's ego is anybody's guess.
