“Vampires may be bloodlusting monsters but it is a confirmed fact that they are not stupid. And, may I add, they are as ruthless as the Dark Elves and then some.
This said, it comes as no surprise that when the envoy of the Lord Nalfein of House Everhate showed up to cheat the game with his spells, he found a Vampire Sorceror waiting for him.
The ensuing battle ended with the envoy, the Sorceror and 27 spectators turned into jellyfishes. And also this time the Dark Elves have been on their own against their opponent.
And let me say that I liked the way they responded.
After a ferocious start from the Vampires with Vlad von Dammed slashing open Kabras Everhate's throat (promptly knitted shut again by our apothecary), Elves, Vampires and Thralls soon swamped up into a monstrous rumble in the middle of the field.
The Elves behaved surprisingly well in this predicament, elbowing and showing the opponent around in a way remindful of dwarves (but don't tell that to them).
They ended up scoring. And they liked it so much that they put up a rumble in the second half too (this one ending up with another touchdown).
The fans were actually very favorably impressed by this match and "The rumblin'Darkies" stories were subsequently heard here and there in taverns. Consequentially, the Everhaters enjoyed a much needed fan increase.
Congratulations to Coach Ktulu25 for a good match. See you soon on the pitch again!”
