“A fun match that turned out very uncharacteristic due to heavy rain. During the first half a fumbled long pass caused the game to end up in a huge brawl over the control of the ball. Basically the two entire teams were locked up in a big box of carnage. I could just imagine one of those old school cartoon brawls with a cloud of smoke and arms and legs sticking out of it.

It would turn out that the luck would be distributed differently for the teams. The Skirmishers got the luck needed to win the match. A scatter into the hands of Foibur the Fearsome gave me a lucky turn 8 TD and during the match I was quite lucky with pickups and GFI's. Mystic Goat on the other hand got the luck needed to stay alive. Because of the conditions of the match the skaven were set up for a slaughter. The poorly armored Vagabonds recieved a tremendous amount of succesful blocks, many with mb, but very rarely even got stunned. This put the teams equal in bashin power until the middle of the 2nd half, when the Skirmishers finally started to break armor properly. Even despite this they only managed KO's...but they did manage lots of them towards the end.

I could safely cage Gloinus into his 2nd TD, leaving Mystic with a chance for a 2 turn comfort TD. As it turned out he could have made it in one. A quick step allowed his MA10 runner Toxure a chance for glory, but with his luck used up on those AV rolls the skaven slipped on the wet turf when he tried to sprint the ball in, gouging out his own eye in the process.
