“I could go on about how well the Minos were playing, but I won't.
I could go on about a well-time blitz, but I see no need.
I could go on about how this is the first time anyone has ever conceded to me and it really makes me feel cool, but that's not what I'm going to do.
I'm going to go on about the best play I've seen in months, made by Sig. Turn 5 or so of the first half, and I've recovered the ball. I kicked off to him, got a blitz, put a player or two down and got into a decent position, but not the ball. He makes his move, I end up with the ball and we start swapping it back and forth. After a few turns of this, he blitzes my side-stepping ball carrier and I find a good place to go where the ball will have at least 1 man on no matter what. I pat myself on the back and watch as his one of his two remaining players dodges through 4 or 5 players (1 tackler, maybe a total of 6 rolls), grabs the ball out from in front of me and runs off with a GFI to hand off to the remaining unmoved player, who is conveniently in scoring range.
It was a thing of beauty.
The kick-off came up and he only had about 6 or 7 players he could field (CASs weren't huge, but I had a lot of KOs). He got a blitz and conceded before he got roughed up worse by my (still full-strength) team.
Thanks for the game, Sig. I'm gonna remember that one for a while.”
