“Wow, another tight Overtime win for the S. Pittsburgh Steelers. This time against a classy and crafty coach in Azure. The wood elf team of Asher's Elves were weaked due to a terrible beating they suffered from a brutal match in the first round of the tournament. Could 7 elves and a Tree hold up to the legendary Steelers? They almost did!
The Steelers got the ball first and quickly marched down with a passing score to WR #80 Cedrick Wilson. The elves responded quickly though and defied the odds by scoring at the end of the first half, tying up the game.
In the second half, the Elves were stopped breifly as the Steeler Ogre, Bill Cowher managed to intercept an elf throw. The big man rumbled downfield His charge was stopped by an elf bltizer with strip-ball capabilities. The humans were unable to retain the ball and the Seraph scored his/her (it's an elf) second TD of the game, putting Asher's Elves in the lead.
Despite a vailiant effort by the elves, they suffered 2 critical injuries. This would really hinder the elves attempts to stop the Steelers from tying up the game. And, in a mad scrum for the ball, #11 Quincey Morgan was able to receive a hand off from Jeff Hartings and take the game into overtime.
The elves gave it their all in OT, but now were down 2 more players. Despite a blitz on the kick off, where the elves got to the ball in time, It just wasn't enough as the Steelers were able to pop the ball loose and get it into the hands of Heath Miller for the winning score.
A tough match, but again the Steelers advance, looking towards winning a title this time around.
Thanks for a very challenging game Azure!”
