“The Woodies march to premier has hit an early snag. This game was always going to be a toughie as the Chaux were almost at full strength while the Double Double were still licking their wounds from the first two rounds.
Things went from bad to worse when Big Gay Al missed the game to go to the annual Big Gay Out. The Men of Wood were then left with only 10 players for the stat fo the match when Neil George Wallington was arested only seconds before kickoff!
The WDD recieved the ball and got off to a shaky start. The boys ran down the field nicley enough but Mr Murray and Smoker J were making a hash of things in back play. Forntunately de la Maman had not quite realised the game had started and the Woodies were able to captilise quickly with Smoker J passing nicely to Philberto who scored in the Corner. During this play however the Woddies possibly made a crucial mistake. With the ball fairly safe in Phil's hands Hutchy had the chance to lay the boot into Pantalon Heureux. The coach however wanted none of it and screamed at Philberto to score quickly but inhindsight this may not have been the move.
Bouilloires got their offence of to a typical start with the Woodies front line being blown down like a pack of cards. The Boys showed some fight however and almost managed to get a hit on Ma Chance who had the ball but de la Maman was having none of it and at one stage was holding on to 4 elven players! With this sniff gone the Nurgle offence went about clearing the field. Pain Feerique and Pantalon Heureux were the main men for this job and the WDD were leaving the pitch in droves.
Just before halftime Ma Chance crossed the line without incident to make it 1-1.
The Second half started match the same as the first finsihed. Ma Chance got the ball the Chaux went to town on the Woody defence. With players in a serious shortage their was nothing the Men of Wood could do and if not for a but of sportsmanship this came could have ended in a very dull 2-1. However the rotters decided to try to go for glory and scored earlier than expected in an attempt to get more SPPs.
It looked like the right decsion as the Woodies could only field 6 players and the they managed to lose the ball even before the Chaux had a chnce to get it off them. Crowlockylockville was tripped before he had even got his legs pumping and from their it looked like a procesion for Ma Chance to get his 3rd for the day. The Woodies neve gave up though and almost pulled an amazing last grasp TD when the ball was knocked lose and a reciever was running up field but once again the boys had not quite brought their game as Toshiba tripped over his own feet once he was in the clear.
A well deserved 3-1 win to the rotters and the Men of Wood need to pick up their game or it will be another season in the Confs for them.
Twahlows
3pts: Pantalon Heureux - Did the damage in clearing the pitch. Not a lot of casulties but plenty of K.Os. Fouling him early could have changed the game
2tps: Prenez Garde de la Maman - Was always going to be a pain in the rear admiral. Did his part to hold up the Woodies defence
1pt: Ma Chance Est Maudite - Was never really tested but did not make a mistake none the less. 49 Paces rushed shows how much work he had to do.
Cheers for the game Clay and thanks for not stalling out the 2nd half. I am glad you got the extra TD for taking the gamble. All the best for the rest of the season mate.
Tehe... Well spotted Clay. It has been fixed.”

Horrid dice too (39% luck for erik!) meant the WDD were never in the hunt.
Twahnlow Points:
3pts - Smoker J... steady at the back in the face of plenty of FA...
2pts - Mr Murray... stuck around to score 10 blocks for a well beaten side
1pt - Crowlockylockville - stoopidest name and the guts to blitz into the defence and fall over on a 1d skull... classic play!
PS - erik, Pantalon Heureux scored 5pts?!”
