“Against a 2 Vampire vampire team that had been battered and beaten since game one this season, Real were expecting an easy match despite the recent spate of injuries that left them fielding just 11 men. Aiser, star mummy, had been retired and had been replaced by what Real hoped would be another corner pin in their defence, Alvaro Novo Ramirez.
Real won the toss and elected to kick off… things didn’t seem to be going right from the offset though, despite 3 MB blocks, a forth not so mighty one and a foul the usually brittle Thralls managed to remain on the field.
Soon enough, led by the mighty Count Wallenstein, one of Season One’s stars, the Undead hordes heralded the way to the KO boxes. In fact, the thralls managed to split the mummies, Mikel González surfed a thrall only to be later surfed himself by a courageous thrall, and new signing Alvaro found himself gang fouled upon… but luckily weathering the boot! Victor Ruben Lopez, blodging ghoul, wasn’t so lucky though and after just 5 games, found himself RIPed… the injuries continued.
Before long it was left to the Ghouls and a smattering of zombies. With nothing but pure speed the Ghouls broke to the flank, whilst Alvaro helped a Thrall to the CAS box, and with combined efforts of himself and star ghoul, Karla Larburu, they seemed to eventually even the numbers.
The Dragons couldn’t reach Díaz de Cerio who opened the scoring for 1 – 0.
By the second half however things looked bleak as the Dragons fielded 11 v Real’s 9 man squad.
Things however took a turn for the better, as the Dragons had clearly forgotten to feed the ravenous vampires and they went on a blood frenzy to soon even the odds and then some.
Count Woland was taken down during the early stages of the drive, but the ball carrying Count Wallenstein made a break for it but succumbed to the thirst once more and as he GFI’d to latch onto a thrall he slipped and fell – he landed safely but crawled off the pitch nonetheless to find some sustenance. The ball was free and smack bang in the centre of the Real squad.
With the ball surrounded, new DP, Ion Txoperna Garcia, opened his account by fouling the downed Count Woland and killing him!!! The Count put on his Real Shirt and specced the remainder of the game.
The Thralls could only watch as Real handed the ball to team captain, Gerardo García, for the score. The game ended 2 – 0.

GG Canvas – your defence in the first half was excellent. The OFAB rolls in the 2nd just screwed the game for you. As always, your luck with the Vampire injuries and subsequent failed Regen rolls continues to plague you.
From our point of view, another win, another dead player we can’t afford to replace and worse still our only Wight aged a niggle! This means we’re carrying three niggles, a rookie Mummy, one Wight and 3 ghouls… we’re in the worst shape of our careers and have are toughest two rivals next! :(
