Very close game, this one was. The first half was a scoring fest for boths sides with the score being 3-1 at the end of the half. But at a high cost for the lizards.

Starting the second half, these humans recieved the kickoff, and triassic had only one skink on the field. Brionn B.F managed to execute a 2 turn TD and KO the last skink in the process. Which set the stage for the most nail-biting tense 6 turns I have ever played.

Triassic was to revieve the kick off, with only a 1 point lead, 5 saurus's and unable to field any skinks. The only plan the thick headed Sauri could come up with (aware of thier own limitations) was to surround the ball, without picking it up, and crush any human that tried to get it. They put the minimum of 3 on the line and kept 2 in the backfield.

At the first turn, the backfield Sauri got on either side of the ball, but the Line Sauri got stuck up there for a while, not able to do any permanent damage, but at least causing some havoc among the humans. The hmans retaliated by making a break for the ball. And the two Sauri managed to prevent any early action against it.

As the turns wore on, more and more Humans started converging on the ball. The line Sauruses were throwing any block that could get them closer to it, but for the most part were stuck on the line. Then the Humies got their first break, a ball pick up and both Backfield Sauri tied up in tacklezones. But the Line Suaruses also caught a break, a lucky block managed to free one for a blitz on the ball carrier, springinging the ball. Another brawl around the ball quickly ensued.

Turn 7, was probably the most deciding turn in the game. Brionne managed to knock over every saurus and pick up the ball with a blitzer, which he barrelled, just 2 squares from the endzone. He then made a critical error, that ultimately cost him the tie game. All the Sauri were prone, and in tacklzones, no chance for a blitz. Except that he pulled the closest lineman that he could to cover his blitzer, effectively freeing up the closest Saurus to the ball. A blitz involving standing, and 2 GFI's managed to KO the ball Carrying blitzer, and the ball bounced freely out of reach of any Human.

Ecbaum played a great game.
