Safari time in the Lion Conference aint none too much different to that which we got ourselves accustomed to already.
We’s got up in the morning had ourselves some breakfast and went a hunting some flesh eating zombies… are there any other kind?
We figured these bags of ole bones had no chance, so the plan was to take it steady, 1 shot in the first half followed by another in the second… we were only sorry to see they had no wolves as those would look mighty fine above our fire place!
As usual, we got complacent to the point of allowing their dexterous Wight a blitz on our ball carrier, who took him down. Those boys coulda made things really difficult for us if they were a little more courageous… luckily for us they weren’t and seemed happy to hope for our bad luck, but that still ain’t a comin’… 1 – 0.
If those zombies didn’t have a plan in the first half, well… they sure as heck didn’t in the second one either! Took nigh on half the team to just shove our troll back whilst one of their star Wights left himself open to a surf, which we obliged the fella with… game over right their folks.
We gots the ball and tried to let one of our shorter boys have the glory, but well, he’s just thumbs now ain’t he?
7 games, 7 wins… we’re firing from all chambers!

It’s hard to take much from the game against Purple. I was hoping to do more damage in the first half than I actually did, just wasn’t happening, as I felt his team, not him, wasn’t up to taking the victory against us. Due to that I left the ball carrier open and invited the blitz… silly really, just over confidence on my part that I would easily pick up and score nonetheless.
The second half though showed where his team really lacked without ghouls or wolves, and against a team loaded with guard and having a couple double skulls show up in successive turns it was only a matter of time until the ball was lost.
A solid core of players, and a solid coach, I’m glad I faced him before he had a couple skilled up wolves to contribute. :)
