“Game 7 of Season XXI

Against the odds, the Gauls pull one out of the hat! We got Morleys for a handicap but it only held out Master Lucius for the half and did not good whatsoever in toning down the scariness of the opposition. Our worst fears where realised with two serious injuries and a KO on turn one. It didn't get any better with the Chaos team bashing thru the game steadily and reducing our numbers. Thankfully we had a good day dodging otherwise things could have got a lot worse. Possibly because they were so focussed on bringing the hurt, the Chaos team missed a couple of critical rolls (notably on a failed gfi for a 2-1 lead at half time) which ultimately helped us steal the match against the odds.

Skyes Tainted scored easily in the fist half despite a couple of chances the Gauls manufactured to get at the ball. We equalised on the stroke of half time with a OTT y Polysyllabix thanks to a great pass from our endzone by Justforkix. We scrambled the second TD midway thru the second when we were under a lot of pressure. We thought we done well to position Clovofgarlix witin scoring distance, hard on the sideline and (almost) out of reach, Justforkix managed a long pass and we held out breath as the chaos team had only one option to dispossess us. Master Usal stepped up tho and ushered Clovofgarlix across the sideline to keep his team in the game. Luckily for us we were in slightly better position to recover the ball and despite a couple of markers, Fulliautomatix managed to dodge away for the score.

We managed to defend for 3 turns thanks to a deep kick and fumbled pickup by the Chaos which meant we could get players around the ball carrier giving him little chance to secure a draw.
A scary game nevertheless with a much diminished lineup facing game 1 next season.

3 Points. Cockroach Egg Tacos. Two serious injuries, a couple of KO's and stuns, he didn't succumb to the rage all night. We were oh so relieved when he tripped on a sprint and hurt himself.
2 Points. Sizzler II. Another two injuries from a beastman far less well equiped than his compadres.
1 Point. Master Usal. Cleaned up the ball well, made the important blitz on Clovofgarlix to stop him from scoring and gave us palpitations at a critical moment when we forgot about his pass blocking. It might have cost us, but thankfully didn't.”
