The luck scores are out as we had to reload on the last turn of the game after my computer had a fit. Otherwise I'm fairly confident they would show at least part of the reason we lost this one!

The Wolverines started off on defence and it was all going well. Keeping the Attack boxed in and even forcing their thrower to retreat. An inability to cause any form of damage, or even break armour was going to make things difficult though. When the Attack had a good turn with plenty of stuns they managed to move past the Wolverines defensive line. Their cage was then swarmed but they managed to make some key dodges to score late in the half.

The Wolverines had two turns to go for an equaliser but a perfect defense result pretty much wrecked that as a possibility. They decided it was time to take out some of those pesky blodgers and a foul on a guard blitzer who just happened to be on the ground was too tempting to resist. They managed to cause some serious harm but luckily the apoth was on hand to save him.

The second half became a bit of a comedy of errors for the Wolverines. A failed block gave the Attack a shot on the ball carrier and after much scrambling led to them scoring. The final nail was hammered into the Wolverines coffin when on their next drive they had a ghoul blitzed, the ball scattered into the crowd and landed smack bang in the path of an Attack catcher to pick it up and run it in.

Not a good game for the Wolverines but they'll be back and next time we wont feel so bad about putting the boot into the more skilled team a bit more! ;) Good game Lucky_Eddy. All the best for the final!”
