An amazing 69.000 people came to see the first meet of New Jersey Nosferatu and Seattle Survivors. Seattle started with a perfect defense but New Jersey quickly closed in on the Orcs. Vampire Damien took the ball but much more spectactular was Vampire and promising talent Draco who had to bite a thrall to quench his thirst. The apo came running and was just in time to prevent the poor thrall from bleeding to death. Seattle managed to gain control of the line of scrimmage but despite being closely covered Caine mad a breakthrough while Draco was running the ball forward on the other side of the pitch.
Making good use of their perfect defense Seattle dominated the brawls and finally the team’s two promising talents met as Razag Runswift pushed Draco into the crowd. In the center of the pitch Thrall Malik took revenge for the KO’ed talent by badly hurting Seattle’s Black Orc Sasha Tripplesnot. Unimpressed by the loss of his comrade Runswift again proved worthy his status as he picked up the ball and carried it all the way to the end zone, closely guarded by his teammates. Despite the heroic efforts of the Vampire team he scored with the ref’s whistle blowing half time. A special award for great fighting spirit goes out to New Jersey’s Thrall Malik who hold his ground well against Seattle’s blocker Prattar Halfgiant although his cunning technique didn’t help his team during that phase.

Second half started with a bad kick by New Jersey Nosferatu that resulted in the ball lying just behind the line of scrimmage. Ghouleater put in some extra speed to pick it up and throw it to Razag Runswift who was already waiting for the ball protected by his teammates. However, Razag failed to catch the pass and it landed in the hands of Krunt the Cat. To get Ghouleater his 6th SPP Krunt immediatelly gave him the ball so he could throw it to Razag but again the pass failed. Luckily for Seattle the ball was finally caught by linorc Krashnak Bloodhammer. Facing total annihilation by the hands of his oponents the lineorc quickly decided to give the ball back to Ghouleater. This time the Blitzer ignored Razag’s calls and ran around the enemy bulk in the center and went straight for the endzone. The rest of his team swung round the oponents formation to protect him. Again the Vampire side put in some heroic effort and even managed to get a block on the ball carrier but wasn’t able to bring him down. In the end he scored during the last turn and the game ended 2-0 for Seattle Survivors.

Good game and well played, mate. Although things looked bad for you at the end of the game you never gave up or lost your temper. Wish you better luck in your next matches and look forward to meeting you in the 2nd meeting. :-)

An amazing 170k were awarded to both teams which should help the Vamps to recover from the match quite good.
