“A very tense game, at least on my end, with the Skaven using their superior mobility to constantly harrass and beat on my ball carrier (including a couple of very nice my choice 2-die blocks by gutter runners), knocking the ball loose and forcing us to scramble to regain control, but the Dwarves generally managed to pick themselves up out of the dirt, dust themselves off and keep plodding down the pitch.
The most suspenseful part had to be during overtime when the ball was (once again) knocked loose from one of my runners only to be picked up in two tacklezones by the Skaven thrower who misthrew his pass and ended up putting the ball about half-way to my endzone. For two turns we struggled to keep a Gutterrunner from stealing the ball away and each time the ball bounced closer to our endzone. Finally Morak Stoneheart (who earned his MVP award this game and broke Nalin Ironthew's gloryhogging streak) managed to blitz the rat away from the ball (which was now right on our endzone line) allowing Begnar Orcchaser to snatch it up and begin the long, five turn, plod back up the pitch to the Deadlines' endzone.”
