“Well, this clash goes down in the Comrade history as one actually not ending in a whole lot of guys getting serious injuries. Apart from that, everything looked as it usually does. I got soundly spanked the entire first half and regenerated three deaths or SI's, still managing to score the first TD. However, as usual my blatant lack of tactics came back to hit me in the face a few times, ending up with a deserved 1-2 situation some way into the second half. Again as usual, I eventually managed to kick them brains into action and actually pulling through a play that might lead to the equalizer... but two extremely unfortunate events quickly turned the table and led to the final score 1-3. First, in the 4th round, my ghoul tripped over his own feet while going for it with the ball into the endzone. Using a reroll didn't fool chance - the double 1's glared at me menacingly. To add insult to considerable injury, the ball scattered out of the pitch and got thrown all the way up to the Babies thrower close to the line of scrimmage. He deftly picked it up and passed it along to their top scorer, adptly placed a bit down into Comrade territory. A few heroic to go for its and last minute blocks resulted in quite a few people battling bravely for the ball just a few yards from the Comrade endzone. However, with the opportunity to snatch the ball and throw it upfield (albeit to late for the equalizer), the Comrades tried a block with a mummy trained in that particular skill... and presto! The double skulls show themselves! With no rerolls saved for last minute attempts, the turnover was a fact with the scoring a formality.

Nevertheless, a nice game and another opportunity for practice.”
