“I was expecting the elves to field a wizard against me and thought I would be in for a really tough game steeling myself to be content if I only got a draw.

The game itself thought proved to be mostly a walk in the park for the Kungpow team.

Rijssiej elves won the toss and chose to receive.
Kungpow set up strong through the middle giving the elves an easy opening down both flanks. The aim being to force an early score if possible.

Rijs elves took the option of going down one of the flanks, overloading it with players to work in a big gangfoul. Fortunately only KO'd the dwarf linebeard though.

I chose to put some pressure on the ball carrier while dropping back much of my team to counter elven stalling play which was bound to happen if given a chance.
The elves successfully threw to a catcher on the flank and ran into scoring position after blocking my bull out of the way.
Dropping much of my team deeper to avoid a stall I then
crucially got a gang foul in of my own on the elven DP and removed it from play BH. :)
With little to be gained the elves then completed their round of blocking and scored in turn 3.

Next kickoff the kungpow team got the ball into Moo Niu hooves and began caging.
The elves started doing their best at using staggered defences to stop the cage advancing far, but were outmanouvered as the cage kept rolling by changing direction removing the odd elf as it ground forward. Sadly we were tactically light on putting the boot in as we wanted to ensure the score.
In the end, despite best attempts by the elves, the score was fairly straight forward.
1-1 at halftime, 3 elves off the pitch and a hot 2nd half kept another elf off from heat exhaustion.

You could see the look of dejection on the Games R Us fans faces already. :P

Receiving again kungpow decided to be sporting and give the elves a chance by double skulling yay...
Fortunately the skulls were so early in my turn my defensive setup against getting a blitz result on kickoff was still there preventing the elves from flooding my backfield.
The only elf who tried to get through, fortunately failed his 3+ dodge through the line.

Moo Niu then made a successful pickup roll, the team got back into some sort of cage, blocks were thrown and the boot went in :O

A couple of turns into caging goodness the pansy elvses decided they had had enough and just lay down in the dirt....
Unsure if this was some pansy trick the dwarfs stood over them, rolled a secure cage forward before taking their time to pick off a high move elf with a boot to the head to prevent pesky push one turners.
The elves did stay down though, which was very dissapointing for my bloodthirsty dwarves.
Tactically i didnt boot even more though as I want t leave them in good shape to beat the other teams in the league. Hope that did not dissapoint the specs.
