“A very challenging match for the Steelers facing a very imposing Ogre team. We have to admit, thanks to two bad kicks the Steelers did manage to secure the ball in great position and were able to tie up ogres and hold off goblins long enough to make 2 scores in the first half.
Right after blitzer Larry Foote scored the first TD the Machines answered back in kind with a huge 1-turn play with Hedgehop nimbly carrying the ball through the air and then skittering into the endzone.
After the 2nd bad kick, tight end #83 Heath Miller skirted the Throwing Machine's defense with a wall of blockers and dodged away from a blitzing ogre just in time to score the 2nd TD of the game.
Kicking off to the Machine, the Steeler's next kick was in bounds and the Ogres tried their trick play again, to throw Hedgehop (who was protected with IRON MAN for a handicap...and for good reason!) downfield. Sadly the throw was off and Hedgehop landed into a sea of goblin and ogre fans off the pitch. The loose ball was quickly gathered up by the goblins of the Machine only to face the same fate.
In a see-saw battle, eventually the Steelers recovered the ball and it again was handed off to Heath Miller, who scored his 2nd TD of the game. MVP awards went to Larry Foote, not only for scoring the first TD of the game, but for senidng multiple goblins to the knock-out bin with his excellent blocking.
A very exciting game, thanks pandur for the challenge. This was a nice change of pace and made me think a lot and react differnetly.”
