#9 Mattias Johansson – Smashed Hip (-MA) #11 Dauda Sall – Dead (RIP)
“WOW!!
What a finish to this season...
Christoffer Lundin made 2 tds and a last turn intercept to win this game.
During the whole game the rain just kept pouring over the field.
The game kicked off with Gustaf Segerström proudly boasting his castrick medal from the stands. Atletic started the bashparty by crunching a skellie off the field and out of the game altogether. Sirius hit back with a quite niggling blow to Aduriz. The doc produced his stuff only to see Javi Martinez to die the next turn, Einar Brekkan dealing a lethal blow. Heavy blows were coming thick and fast from both sides, reducing the number of players quickly. A lone beast charged upfield and had a decent chance to put his team in the lead. But alas, he stumbled under the heavy rain and pressure. Andreas Brännström blitzed him off the field and the crowd made sure he got a hot reception. The skellies couldn´t muster a td even they had the field of their own.
In the next half Sirius received the ball, putting some skellies in scoring range but the rain just made the ball useless. Finally after 6 turns Lundin gave his team the lead. Don´t forget that Aduriz made a break and skipped away only to fall over on his hoves and landing on his neck, instant death!! It wasn´t far away from a completly different result to this game.
With 2 turns left Sirius went for it. All players upfront and hoping for the best. They charged through Atletics weak defence and put pressure on the sole beastman. With a moment of pure genius and magic, Lundin made the td of the season. Grabbing a interception and sprinting away with the decisive td. The crowd went nuts, even disturbing the connection line from Studenternas to the OBBA game show studio. All footage disappeared, if you missed it live, you missed it...
This game had it all, rain, mud, fouls, rips and a totally insane ending to the whole season.
Of course this game was decided with a lot of luck. Haderak took the rips like a sportsman and never gave this game up. Credit to you mate, you kept going even when Nuffle laughed in your face. Good luck with Atletic or a new team.”
