I should be ashamed now... :)

As the idea in Lotr, Two Towers, was that two games are played, and points are totalled for both alliances (two teams). The other pair was evenly matched, and in this game I was way behind in TS.

So the original plan was to make a huge cage and use chainsaw and blitzes to pound those elves. And my targeted goal was 1-1 or 0-1.

I got the ball, and started the chainsaw. On T2, I slipped from my plan as I saw that the elves were very unbalanced. I rushed in, and made a very loose cage. And I forgot that chainsaw uses blitz action, and I just had to move him. Stupid mistake.

On next turn the chainsaw was KO'd, and I was in trouble. And as elves rolled only once that 1 (and that was bonehead roll on first turn), they had easy way to steal the ball and score.

Elves were lucky almost through the game. But one td was denied by failed gfi, and in 2nd half they rolled few 1's.

I made two major misclicks, and both of them ended my turn before it even started. And to do things like that against team with much higher TS, it means trouble.

And just as chainsaw was up for his money, Sera BH'd him with unassisted foul! (note: chainsaw bonus for injury does not apply when fouled) I made few gang fouls, and all I got was stun.

Was a good game, but I made it too hard for me as I messed it up with slipping from gameplan, and making stupid misclicks and mistakes.

I hope I can face Sera in some other tournament, as I want to show him that I am not as bad coach as this game made me look. ;)

Dear Vanyar,

Yet again I bring tidings of triumph!

The Pirates of the Rings have conquered the Two Towers and claimed the Rings of Power! For years to come bards will regale others with songs of our triumph and the alliance between Recrudescence of Vanyar and the Corsairs of Umbar!

We called upon the power of the Ring of Fire to draw the Orcs to us. It is no shame on our part that we chose the weaker of the two, but it is with great cunning marred by cruelty… for we saw no chance of a loss at Moria, and considered that our allies would at least tie their game, and perhaps take some causalities into the quest for The One Ring!
Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer!

Though I was stricken yet again with this accursed Bone Headed ailment I led Recrudesence of Vanyar to the field to meet the Orcs and weapon wielding Goblins. The Orcs received first and tried to cut their thrower towards the flank, but they reckoned not of our speed and guile… we took the thrower down and scooped up the ball. A careful plan of handing it to our rookie Dragon Warrior saw him secure his second score and a taste of what lies ahead.

The Orcs mounted once again… frenzied they were, driven by the sole desire of taking down Galisith, which despite being wholly surrounded by eight players, they did not!

Left thin at the back, we poured into the back field leaving the Orcs no option but to long bomb… they tried their best, for Orcs, but their best only led to Galisith further mocking them by plucking the ball out of the air and scoring! The Orcs were finished!

Now it was our turn to receive and we wholly intended upon making it a quick 3 – 0… this however was not to be, through slippy fingers and false footing at the end zone the ball was taken from us with the aid of the crowd, and from there ensued a melee.

We had dispatched Nobbla to the KO box early in the first half, but his presence, and certainly that of his mechanised saw were now being felt. We concentrated upon him, knocking him down and badly hurting him only for the Orcs apothecary to administer aid… we promptly fouled him and sent him right back!

After that we managed to corral the Orcs into our cage and keep them in check to prevent the return score!

The game ended 2 – 0… 13pts to 3pts, not even the Corsairs could mess it up!

Now armed with two Rings of Power, we sever our bonds with the Corsairs, and warn them of the great risk and peril they now face, should they encounter us where country men and friend is an enemy… The Return of the King!

Regards,
Tarius

------
Was always gonna be tough for Kyyberi, and he knew it. Huge TS difference and no tacklers made our dodges easy, and more than capable of tying up several players. His efforts were further compounded by a couple of misclicks… although I think that was the power of the ring myself. :)
Anyway, good game mate, and GL in the final tourney of the season!
