Just want to comment on how much slicker fumbbl seems, easier to get into, and better for returning players/noobs (I could fall into either category...).

My positioning was hopeless, and I was reliant on the Dark Elf slippery fingers - they couldn't do much of anything at all with the ball, but as you can see it wasn't a game for the appreciation of the passing tactic.

When the D'Elves moves broke down due to crappy ball handling, the H'Elves hoovered it up, ran it, handed off, and stalled to slow things down, so the D'Elves got a couple of fouls in. Got no probs with that, even in T16, all part o the game.

By that time it was 3-0, Keltic Dragon had long since given up, and the luck meter got it about right. I kept the passing down to a minimum and rode my luck with a few "Who cares if it fails" moves, which sometimes came off, and helped decide the game.

Not an easy way back into Fumbbl, but a win, great cash for the fledgling elves, +1 FF and +1 MA for their no.2 means things couldn't have gone much better. I expect they'll come down to earth with a bump next game.
