“2nd game back, and boy was I pulverised. Forgot what block v non block could do. I had my luck - it consisted of dwarves dropping ball a few squares from TD, me scooping up, throwing, catching, being caught, dodging and gfi to score. Other than that I played 1st half with 9 guys, my AV9 acting like AV6 and making me scramble to see if I fielded halflings instead.

I managed to stop the inevitable cage in the 2nd half, still getting battered, but a stroke of luck had me scoop the ball up and break free, only to double skull and let the Dwarves retake the ball. Late on I optimistically placed a Blitzer and lineman deep and managed to scoop up a ball dropped on a gfi, throw (caught) and hand off in T16 for the score.

The scoreline, plus the dead player, may suggest it was 1 way traffic, but chefbcn is a good coach, covered all the bases and was only let down with the ball handling, not much wrong with blocks, with even -2Db getting double pow his way.

So another win, +80k (Blitzer) +FF and no cas yet (though KO box was busy for me). Shame about J.Cano biting the dust on a failed apo - star player of the team and all that, but I guess thats the way it goes. Orcs still waiting for first skills but a nice spread of SPP means It won't be too long I hope.
