“No Friends League:

A brutal rematch of an earlier showdown that went in favor of the Nightmares...however, this time it was the orcs that delivered the nightmares! The match was obviously going to be a no holds event given by the calculating decision of the Nightmares coach to go over the salary cap for the game (points do not matter to me anyway - so no loss)...with only 20k in cash, was over the salary cap by 1 - but that allowed the nightmares to employ a wizard - something that they would put to good use and BH one of our black orcs on turn 1. Well, all this underhanded dealings by the Nightmares did not go without notice by tbe fans - they rose up as one and gagged the ref - even though we had no dirty players...we did our best. A block on turn 1 used up the nightmare's apothecary, so we focused our fouls on the vampire and on collecting the bounty. We could not remove the vampire, but by the end of the first half, we did collect the bounty on Ladislav - as a sharp boot killed the nasty thrall.

By the end of the first half, only 5 opposing players took the field...although the number did increase in teh second half as KOed players returned, the game ended with us walking in a 3rd TD and only 2 thralls remained.

Overall, it was hard fought by the Nightmares - but in a league that rewards each CAS and each TD, we realized we had to make up for earlier mistakes and played the full 2 halves searching for more CAS (getting 2 by blocks, 2 by fouls, 1 by crowd push). The bounty was on a 39 spp thrall (so 16 points...8 for us and 8 for whomever was kind enough to place the bounty).

No longer willing to be nice in the No Friends League, we also now have our first dirty player...no more nice orcs!”
