“BOL - Group Three - Round One

Lyon started on offence and after the kick-off it looked like they were lacking in ideas or creativity up front. A simple drive down the centre was swamped by the short men and Lyon had to get very lucky to push Mathieu Bodmer free and allow him to evade several tackles to score within a couple of minutes.

Lyon defended solidly for the rest of the half. The dwarven drive was penned into one side and this allowed them to make good use of chain pushes to send three dwarves to meet their fans. The crowd seemed to wear themselves out after the first though, managing to kill Rile Glitteraxe but only stunning the following two victims. A missed tackle on the last turn of the half left the Gadgies with a shot at the score but fortunately for Lyon an inspired saving tackle eventually prevented it.

Second half the Gadgies looked to try again what they'd attempted in the first half. With a solid tackle from Karim Benzema leaving Dana Warsmith unable to get up and stretchered from the pitch in a black bag though, they decided to call it a day.

A tough game for KenThis in the end with Lyon playing well. Look forward to a rematch some other time where hopefully the crowd will be kinder! :)”
