“Speedball - Time Trial Cup - Round One

Boy is one minute short! Dynamo started on offence and almost immediately it went horribly wrong with the clock running out leaving the Oozes with an easy blitz on the ball carrier. Fortunately the elves managed to recover and even managed to stall out the rest of the half to prevent an equaliser this half.

After a solid start things really went wrong for the Dynamo here. Looked liked they'd stopped the Ooze's drive after a good tackle getting the ball free. In the scramble though there were far too many failed blocks and when the re-rolls ran out it only got worse. The Ooze's on the other hand were on inspired form making one die blocks all over the shop and recovering the ball for a score late in the half taking the game to overtime.

Things remained the same for the Dynamo in OT. A failed hand-off didn't look too bad but after it was swamped, the Dynamo failed block after block and the Ooze's continued to manage the one die blocks eventually allowing them to gather the ball and run for the line. The Dynamo attempted a one die of their own but this only got a both down result with the hapless elf stunning himself in the process. The Ooze's managed to gather the ball next round and ran in the score.

Very tense game that the Dynamo aren't too happy to have lost. Good game Hullon though and all the best in the rest of the cup. Hopefully I'll make promotion and we'll be meeting again soon! :)”
