“Annoyed at being forgotten as being an integral part of WIL by, troubled, Coach Russo, Guns n’ Bullets were out to remind everyone of their fearsome presence and make an example of Team Trimmers!

The game started off with a Bribe the Ref2, Palmed Coin and a Knuckleduster wearing wolf. So, their game plan was instantly obvious… kill, kill and kill some more.

And that’s exactly as it started, their wolf risking a 1d block against a troll and powing him, then following up with a gang foul led by the DP, luckily no harm done.

Guns immediately went for the vulnerable wolf and put him to ground, but unfortunately out of further harms way. We then tied up their DP and moved in, relying on Guard to allow us some retaliatory blocks.

Trimmers went all out to free their DP with the wolf and some assists, and managed it, another foul and this time a RIP on a dorf! The Apoth earned his money.

Forgetting the ball, the game was won before it started in our minds, we concentrated on the nasty wolf, putting him to ground and stunning him. We followed in with our own boot… blah! Nothing. Nonetheless we plied on the pressure and tied up the DP again.

The Necros moved the ball to the opposing flank, trying to steal away from an approaching Centaur whilst 1d blocks flew with success. We blitzed the ball carrier down and started getting dorfs surrounding them, then another opportune foul badly hurt their only wolf, OWWWwwwww he cried!

The rest of the half was an attempt to limit fouls, but sadly our DPs could not recreate that magic and credit to the Trimmers they protected him better than they had their Wolf! Our Centaurs danced to the end zone

The game was over, done, dusted, chalked up for the Guns! With that adept DP on the prowl the order of the day was to limit his damage whilst two dorfs and their ball handler played catch in the back field… so effectively 3 men down it would be tough going for a short while.

Ultimately the pesky DP niggled a dorf, as well a BHing the Troll, and the Necros were even allowed the ball, an attempt to lure away a blitz that would have toppled and left a Centaur in the DPs LOS. But they gained little ground with the ball!

Two dorfs skilled, one likely retired and another victory for Guns N Bullets!
